Liberty Health Care Center Opens Short Term Rehabilitation Unit

Liberty TWP, OH-   The short term rehabilitation unit at Liberty Health Care Center is now open.  The 10,000 square foot addition features 16 private rooms with flat screen televisions, phones and internet access.  The new therapy gym is equipped with state of the art therapy equipment and a full size Chevy Cruze therapy car.

The short term therapy provides care for many orthopedic procedures as hip/knee replacements, rotator cuff surgeries and fractures.  In addition to general orthopedic care we also provide extended medical care, wound care, and cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation.  “Our goal is to return patients to their normal living environment as soon and safely as possible”, says Dan Rowland, Director of Marketing, for Windsor House, Inc.   “Our industry used to be known as the place you went to live out the rest of your life, but that’s changing,” said Rowland.  “We’re sending more and more patients home to lead full lives.”


Windsor House, Inc. Changes Name of Newest Nursing Home to Honor Founders

Windsor House, Inc., has announced that Windsor House at Mahoning Valley Health Care Center, the companies newest nursing home in New Middletown, will be renamed  Masternick Memorial Health Care Center, after the company’s founders, John and Dorothy Masternick.

Masternick Memorial received its license on June 30, 2009, after celebrating its grand opening this past May. The opening marked 50 years in the nursing home business by the Masternick family and Windsor House, Inc.   “Renaming the facility after my parents is a tribute they have earned and deserve” said company President and CEO, John J. Masternick.

Founding the company in 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Masternick developed and operated more than 20 nursing homes in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  Windsor House has cared for more than 35,000 residents and employed over 20,000 local residents.  Currently, Windsor House owns and operates eleven nursing homes and two assisted living communities in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Masternick passed away on Memorial Day, 2009.
