Windsor House, Inc. Changes Name of Newest Nursing Home to Honor Founders
Windsor House, Inc., has announced that Windsor House at Mahoning Valley Health Care Center, the companies newest nursing home in New Middletown, will be renamed Masternick Memorial Health Care Center, after the company’s founders, John and Dorothy Masternick.
Masternick Memorial received its license on June 30, 2009, after celebrating its grand opening this past May. The opening marked 50 years in the nursing home business by the Masternick family and Windsor House, Inc. “Renaming the facility after my parents is a tribute they have earned and deserve” said company President and CEO, John J. Masternick.
Founding the company in 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Masternick developed and operated more than 20 nursing homes in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Windsor House has cared for more than 35,000 residents and employed over 20,000 local residents. Currently, Windsor House owns and operates eleven nursing homes and two assisted living communities in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Masternick passed away on Memorial Day, 2009.

Windsor House at Mahoning Valley is now open for tours.
Tours are available Monday-Friday from 9-4.
