Rehabilitation

Windsor House Inc. provides rehabilitation services on premises and therapy is available every day, which can reduce the length of even a short-term stay. The rehabilitation therapists work together with the medical director and the nursing staff to enhance the quality of the resident's life by reshaping lost abilities and teaching new skills. Rehabilitation provides each resident with the tools needed to function at their maximum potential in the least restrictive environment.

Windsor House at Omni Manor Health Care Center conveniently located off I-80/I-680 & Meridian Rd. at 3245 Vestal Rd. in Austintown, has opened a new short term therapy unit. The new S.T.E.P. (Specialized Therapies Empowering People) therapy unit,  provides each resident with the services needed to function at their maximum potential in the least restrictive environment and return to normal living conditions. Attached to Windsor House at Omni Manor, the rehabilitation unit has a separate entrance, therapy room, and dining room.  Private rooms with showers are available. Call 330-793-5648 for more details.

Windsor House at Doylestown Health Care Center (located near Barberton, Wadsworth and Barberton) in Doylestown, Ohio, has launched an important new therapy program to demonstrate restoration of sensation in the feet of diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy along with improved gait and balance.  Contact the therapy department at 330-658-1534 for more details.

Occupational Therapy

Deals with daily self care such as grooming and eating, and compensating for losses of sensation and vision.

Physical Therapy

Focuses on range of motion, strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and endurance.

Speech Therapy

Works with language, communication, memory aides, hearing and swallowing disorders.

Restorative Nursing

Once a plan of care is developed for the resident, restorative nursing programs work closely with rehabilitation services, as well as the activities department, to provide comprehensive programs for the resident.
