Visitation/LOA Updates

We are happy to report that residents who are fully vaccinated may not need to quarantine upon leave of absence. Fully Vaccinated means residents who are 2 weeks after the second dose of the vaccine. Due to CDC changes, a resident will only need to quarantine if there is known exposure or the resident has symptoms. While on a LOA residents should continue good infection control practices such as wearing a mask, maintain social distancing and hand washing. Known exposures must be reported immediately so we can continue to keep our residents safe. All visits must be scheduled with the office ahead of time. All visits must maintain core principles of infection control such as screening, mask wearing, and social distancing. Staff escorts will be provided to ensure visitor contact is limited to the resident they have come to see. Also, although the governor has stated visits may be held in resident rooms, based on facility structure and resident needs, we still recommend visits in a designated location. This will allow for increased sanitation of the area after each visit as required by CDC. Visits in designated areas will be conducted with an adequate degree of privacy. There may be further changes to the visitation procedure as official guidance from ODH guidance has not been released. We encourage you to contact the Windsor House community with any questions.
